  2. if you’re a teenager and think you’re better than your peers for listening
to pre-200’s music, you have a superiority complex that needs to be
addressed. you are not better. in fact, because of your arrogance, you’re
significantly worse. you are not special for listening to whatever’s on
    the classic rock radio rotation.

to the people going on about how all new music sucks: tell me, what’s it
like to have myopic tastes? music’s gone uphill. even the shitty music’s
gotten better on average. this is the best time to be alive for music fans.

okay, i just had to get that off my chest after seeing some of the
colossally stupid comments repeated ad nauseam.

P.S. I love modern music. Unlike most of you tend to think, Its not
horrible music. In your opinion it is, but in opinion of the majority of
Americans, modern music is awesome. So you listen to your old music and
I’ll stay in the modern music era.

  3. You know, literally every generation thinks the music they grew up with is
superior to the subsequent generation’s music. My parents think our music
is terrible, my parent’s parents thought 80s rock was horrid, my
grandparent’s parents thought 50s music was whorish, and I’m sure my
great-grandparent’s parents expressed equal distaste of my
great-grandparent’s music. You know the difference between their
generations and ours? They didn’t have to read about how awful their music
was every fucking time they listened to a song on the Internet.

  4. Most mainstream pop music post 90s or post early 2000s at most should be
referred to as the devolution of music. The complexity of music has been
devolving for decades, but this generation really puts that into
perspective. It’s hardly an evolution if the really talented musicians
across the genres available are less popular and successful than a large
proportion of generic and less talented musicians that contribute to the
mass production and devolution of music because of the corporate labels
they work with. And this devolution is popularized now more than it ever
has been. But then, I guess it’s the necessary sacrifice for profit and
fame – two of the most corruptible aspirations in modern society.

  5. I’ve watched this video about 7 times now, and because I play drums I
intend to focus on the beat boxer guy (no I don’t know their names) and
every time I end up focusing on the girl because dang, she’s gorgeous.

  6. You completely ignored Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Black Sabbath, Slipknot,
Korn, Avenged Sevenfold, Godsmack…… Metal and Hard Rock, you know, the
types of Music that has influeced thousands of artists?

  7. Me: Wow some of these songs sound amazing imma go search them up and listen
    to the whole thing.

*Watches for a minute then goes back*

    Me: Meh PTX was better.

Lol you always think a songs so great til u hear the ptx version

  8. You know what really sucks about this generation, it’s not the music, the
singers, the auto tune, not even the genres but its the way that people use
this brand new technology to talk about how god awful and stupid people
this generation now when back then, people from the 60’s couldn’t share how
awful the 80’s are online. Do you really think that the music is bad? What
about the way we use our technology? We should be thankful that we can
share are thoughts but instead we use it to bash people and throw everyone
shade an hate. Just think about it, does the music suck, or the way people
    speak?

    true)
    2. I prefer Kevin and Avi anyways. (Still probably won’t have a chance with
    them either)
    XD

  11. All I know is that this is going to be part of Teens React tomorrow and I
    couldn’t be more excited.

  12. Why are most of these comments talking about how HORRIBLE our music is? You
know what? NO! I’ve had just about enough of this! I’ve dealed for it long
enough, and I’m putting my foot down now!

Music is not horrible. It’s horrible IN YOUR OPINION. You know what an
opinion is? An opinion is a thought on something that you have. Everybody
has an opinion. There is no such thing as a right or wrong opinion.
Everyone’s opinions should be heard and allowed. Except… a lot of idiots
online love to point out their opinion that music today is horrible. “You
want proof music is horrible? Miley! Anaconda! It uses the same 4-chord
method! The artists will fade out in 2-3 years! Their voices are all
    autotuned and horrible!”
Stop trying to shove your opinion down others’ throats! Music is NOT
horrible. Music changes. Styles come and go. It’s always been that way!
It’s been that way for as long as the music industry has been around. It
doesn’t always change in a way you like, but so what? The world doesn’t
revolve around you! Stop acting like your opinion is the only one that
matters and that everyone who doesn’t share your opinion is stupid!
Yeah, some music today is about sex, drugs, racism, etc., but that’s an
artist’s choice if they want to sing about that. Hating in YouTube comments
isn’t going to make it go away! If anything, it’s only giving the artist
another view, and making them even more famous and popular than they
already were. That’s your own fault. And, yeah, I’m not gonna lie, towards
the second half of 2014, there were a few mainstream big butt songs, but
there were like 3! Wiggle, Anaconda, Booty! You can’t make a judgment off
of something from listening to 3 songs of today’s music! Just because those
songs got mainstream doesn’t mean that literally EVERY song today is about
big butts. That’s just a stereotype. I could make the same judgment for
another kind of music. Watch, I’ll do it right now:
“Heavy metal sucks! It’s just a bunch of screaming gibberish into a
microphone and sounds like it comes from the devil! Father Smith, can you
perform an exorcism on the lead singer of Metallica, please?”
Yeah, I just hated on heavy metal. Spam me, I don’t care. You think the
artists who make the music care? They have hundreds of millions of views on
their videos, tens of millions of listens on their Spotify, and lots of
fans! You think they read hate comments and are offended in any way? Hell
no! They have way better things to do with their free time!
Also, +JAdHum happens to be right, people do tend to think that new music
is horrible, and the music they grew up with is amazing. That’s probably
because they’re more used to that kind of music, and not as familiar with
new music, so they obviously give it a more negative impression. But, you
know what? That’s their opinion. So-called “bad music” isn’t going away.
The style will leave sometime, but it’ll probably come back sometime later.
There is no such thing as bad music! There is only such a thing as music.
What is apparently “good music” and “bad music” is based on opinions. Wow,
I can’t believe that this many people have no idea what an opinion is and
feel the need to hate. It is absolutely appalling to me and makes me
embarrassed to be a human being.
Yeah, a lot of music uses the 4-chord technique, but so what? 4-chord songs
have existed for a long time! They’ve existed since… well, as long as
music has existed! 4-chord pieces existed before Mozart’s time, and still
exist today. It’s just a popular technique, what’s wrong with that? It’s
just because the Internet exists, it gives people to anonymously hate it
without reason! You people make me sick!
Yeah, a lot of pop music is manufactured and is autotuned, but why is that
bad? So what if it’s not their real voice? Autotune is a vocal effect, it
makes the song sound interesting. And yeah, it’s written by companies to
make producers rich, but hey, it’s still music, isn’t it? Go write that
same comment on a K-pop or J-pop video, and then look at the response
you’ll get (Warning: It’ll be ugly).
And… the claim that an artist is going to fade out in 2-3 years is just
plain wrong. First of all, how do you know when a band will break up or
will quit music? That’s just an assumption you’re making off of music you
don’t like. I could easily make a similar assumption for any piece of music
you bring up to me. A lot of people in the 50’s thought rock n roll sucked,
but hey, Elvis became a legend, and is still well known today. He’s not as
listened to or talked about as he was back when he was alive and still
making music, but he’s still talked about. And you know what? As long as
you can listen to any song, or even talk about him it cannot have “faded
out.” You can look up the song on YouTube, listen to it on Spotify or
Google Play, buy the album, find sheet music for it and play it yourself,
or just plain talk about it. You can do that for Elvis. Heck, you could do
that to a now largely forgotten early 2000’s artist, like ‘N Sync or
Samantha Mumba. And in 20 years, you could do the same for popular
mainstream artists today, like Meghan Trainor, Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande,
One Direction, etc. They won’t be as talked about or listened to as they
are now, but it’ll still be possible to listen to them or talk about them.
No music, artist, or song can “fade out.” Stop generically saying that!
Most of you idiots who DO say that are just heavy metal loving jerks or
9-year-old Call of Duty playing PewDiePie watching bronies!
Do we all understand each other now? I hope we do! I do realize that people
are still going to hate on music today regardless, but hey, as Taylor Swift
said, “Haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, I’m just gonna shake,
shake, shake, shake, shake, shake it off.”

    Good day to you all!
