  1. Somebody That I Used To Know – Pentatonix (Gotye cover) I’ve always
aaaaaalways loved these guys, they were on some music tv show and I was
sooo upset when they didn’t win, listen listen listen!!!

  2. You know who I’m most impressed by?
Kevin Olusola in the corner, who was doing the beats for the song. The fact
that he could keep up with all their singing, not get distracted by it,
*and* do everything at the right moment? That’s pretty freaking amazing!
Sure, the others are really great too, and I love this song cover to bits,
but you have to understand how much practice this guy (and the others,
too!) had to go through in order to do this so… perfectly. There’s really
no other way to explain this song. It’s really great. I clap for you. *clap,
    clap*
(BTW, sorry if I seem like a ‘noob’ to you Pentatonix fans. I’m new to the
    band, so… I’m still learning stoof c:)

  3. I actually met Avi!
I wasn’t into a Capella until a few months ago. I auditioned for one of the
groups in my college (University of Florida) and got in. I heard them talk
about Pentatonix and such but no idea who they were and I didn’t really go
    searching for them yet.
Last month we went on a trip to this convention in North Carolina and that
night after going around town and chilling at the hotel room my section
leader said he just met Avi from Pentatonix downstairs and wanted to know
who wanted to go see him. Well after hearing about them from not just my
group but every other group from around the country I figured why not? So I
go downstairs and he’s there chatting with a few other people wearing his
beanie with his scruffy beard and I introduce and talk and he was literally
the most chill dude in the world. I asked him how I could hit the lower
register as a baritone trying to base and he said alcohol, practice and age
:P. After hanging for a little bit I left.
The point of the story was it was really cool to meet him BEFORE I checked
him and the rest of Pentatonix out on YouTube because I would have been a
starstruck little fanboy. Celebrities can be normal unassuming individuals.
But the second people recognize how famous they actually are they go nuts.

  4. They have done 2 songs from Belgium, where i live. So Selah Sue she is
    amazing, and Belgian

  5. Hey, Pentatonix.
    I love this sound.
It carries with it a negative message that contrasts the sound in my head.
Is there some way to get the same sound with different lyrics?
That’s not really something people like to do, but I hear sounds, not
messages and the messages get into my subconscious and scratch my emotional
health (without even knowing where it is from) so I tend to remember sounds
and completely make up words – to just about everything and not even the
    same words each time.
What are your thoughts about this?

    Cheers :)

  6. 3:07 The girl looks like she’s about to sing but realizes she’s not
supposed to and starts to smile hahaha

  7. the tallest guy and the girl have the best voices, but the guy on the very
left the fact that he could keep up with the other people’s voices when
they sing. And he did it at the very moment of when they sang the song.
That boy has some extreme talent. And he shows so much feeling when he does
the beats. It would be so cool to meet this band. I would be very
distracted if I had to do that in front of 33,879,118 people. That guy has
so much bravery !!!!! This cover is way better then the original and I mean
that from the bottom of my heart. They all have so much talent and I am so
proud of all of them. And they take so much time to make so many great
videos. In my opinion I think they should get signed so they can go on
tours and not just be on YOUTUBE. Even though YOUTUBE is a really big deal
it is an even bigger deal to get signed by a real lifetime record deal!! I
would be so so proud of all the hard work they put into these videos. They
have such extreme talent and they are all so brave for putting a ton of
work into these videos. And it is incredible how much attention they get
and how they memorize the songs they sing so beautiful. BIG shoutout to all
of them in that band. Very big thumbs up for all of them in the band
especially the guy o the very left you does all the beats and I give the
same amount credit to the people you sing but Kevin Olusola has the biggest
job because he has to not get distracted from when the other four sing the
    song!!

  8. My favorite singer out of all of them is Mitch. I don’t know why, his voice
is just to die for. I literally would kill to have his voice, I do have a
pretty decent voice but not as good as him. Love ya, Mitch! ^_^

  9. As I go though all their videos, I’m kind of realizing Scott is the “face”
of PTX. Anyone else feel like that?

  10. I have no problem with gayness but are like every single one there are gay
    tbh?

  11. The beat boxer isn’t doing everything that you can hear in this video. Any
beat boxer listening to this knows that it is lying to you :'(

  12. I love pentatonix, but sometimes I think kirstie tries too hard. She is a
really good singer, but some of the things that she tries to sing for their
covers just doesn’t sound right. Personally, a lot of the parts that she
sings should be sung by Mitch instead, in my opinion. Don’t get me wrong, I
love them all, but sometimes Kirstie pisses me off, sorry if that offends
anybody. And Mitch and Scott need to stop getting hate comments about them
being gay. And Kevin and Avi deserve just as much credit as Scott and
Mitch, just because the don’t sing much of the melody (or only sing the
beats in Kevin’s case) doesn’t mean that they have it easier. I love
pentatonix, I wish they were touring somewhere near me…

  13. I’m really amazed at how Kevin still is able to bring the song to life,
even if he’s not singing. All the singers are using hand movements and
facial expressions, which is normally associated with professional singing.
Even though all he’s beatboxing rather than singing, he uses hand motions
and gestures too that really make the whole song more dramatic. And it’s
beautiful and amazing. I love Pentatonix!!!!!! 🙂

  15. This is probably one of my all time favorite covers. They all sound so
    amazing together!
