i love doing yoga, mainly becasue of how i feel after a session. i have
spoken to many instructors who tell me although yoga helps, it’s the diet
that is 90% responsible for weight loss, and most good instructors are
vegetarians. i look thinner, but gained 10lbs from doing yoga,all muscle
which is nice.
How long did it take you to loose your 40 pounds …. I’m young in my teens
and trying to loose weight so i was wondering what the best diet or
exercise plan for me would be I’ve been doing your routines for about a
week now and I absolutely adore them they are so challenging 🙂
Sadie, whenever i do the pulses (around 6 mins) i always feel the arch of
my grounded foot pull painfully. Is this just because I don’t have my heel
on the ground? I can’t get my heel on the ground, what should I do?

were you counting the number of calories of each meal. Because if you ate 3
meals of 1500 calories total( or however many calories according to your
body) or 5-6 meals of 1500 calories total it is the same intake. The reason
for the 5-6 meals is because you body never feels hungry and so the
metabolism stays up. If you gained weight, then more than likely you ate
more than necessary or you have other medical issues.
Yoga promotes weight loss slowly, and that’s proven and effective. But, I
still believe that without self discipline and motivation one won’t be able
to achieve the ideal weight he/she wants.
Sadie, this is great!! It would be such a shame for heavier people not to
reap the benefits from yoga! Also love the advice about eating enough
through practice. Love!!
I am significantly overweight and lost 10 pounds right away when I started
this practice. Then I got pregnant and switched to prenatal, then
postnatal yoga. I am finally back to this practice and I love it! By the
3rd time I felt noticeably stronger. By the 5th time I was stronger,
steadier, feeling fierce. I do this with my 8 month old daughter crawling
around and under me, or sometimes falling asleep to the sound of your
soothing voice. Thank you so much for this!
Hi “Yogi”. Obviously I highly endorse this kind of exercise for weight
loss, regular yoga is great for this. You briefly mention drink plenty
water, but I think we don’t make enough of this. Water consumption is key
to flush out toxins created through the breakdown of fat. Do more Yoga,
Drink more Water! :-)
there are many BB (big and beautiful) yogis. I have been doing yoga since
8yrs old and vary between 60 and 92kilos and there is nothing i cant do.
Generally if you todays version of slim you are not as healthy.

i used to be able to do this so easily… but im ashamed to say that im 60
pounds larger and that this is extremely difficult for me now -_-
Sadie, i realize this is an oooold video, but do you have any tips or
videos posted that don’t put so much strain on the wrists? I have carpal
tunnel, and after three or four breaths in plank my hands go numb and
tingly = really looking for some solution!
